Created by the merger of three major Quebec City hospitals (Centre hospitalier de l’Université Laval (CHUL), Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, and Hôpital Saint-François d’Assise), each possessing its own research center, Centre de recherche du centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec (CRCHUQ) has become an leading catalyst for hospital-based research in Canada. The Center brings together most of the health researchers affiliated with Université Laval and provides first class scientific training to over 750 graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. 

CRCHUQ boasts ultramodern facilities that provide an ideal environment for its research teams, whose work spans the entire research spectrum from basic research to knowledge transfer in fields related to the hospital center’s healthcare, teaching, and technology evaluation missions.  

Accredited by the health research funding agency, Fonds de recherche du Québec-Santé (FRQ-S), our research center is growing rapidly and occupies an enviable position nationally and internationally due to the outstanding performance and achievements of its research teams working in eight research areas.
